BenchMark Special Stains system

It helps to examine the localization of some enzymes or macromolecules in cells and tissues. The system is to provide an antibody developed against a macromolecule to be studied. The protein that is tried to be detected in the tissue is the antigen, and the protein used to detect this protein is the antibody. In this method, the antigens sought in a tissue are; It can be identified by the application of an antibody and the specific binding of the antibody to the antigen.

In research or pathology laboratories, immunohistochemical reactions are applied in different situations.

The most important applications:

  1. Histogenetic diagnosis of tumor cells,
  2. Identification of tumor subtypes (such as lymphoma)
  3. Characterizing the initial site of a malignant tumor,
  4. Investigation of therapeutic symptoms and prognostic factors in some diseases,
  5. Differentiation of benign and malignant tumors,
  6. It is the understanding of the structures and material secreted by the cell.

This staining method can be done manually, or it can be applied with special devices developed for this purpose. The BenchMark system is used to automatically stain histological or cytological samples on microscope glasses with specific immunohistochemical or in situ hybridization reagents for in vitro diagnostic purposes.

The system has been developed for the use of trained personnel such as histotechnologists or laboratory technicians who are experts in histology processes and have basic computer proficiency. The system was developed for use in anatomical clinical or research laboratory settings.
